Return To The Lord!

How easy it is for a believer to drift away from a close fellowship with the Lord! It happens when one tries to find rest and satisfaction in something or someone, instead of their Lord (see Isaiah 55:2). The result is that believers (like Israel) find themselves in exile (bondage) and away from the blessings of God.

Does that describe you today? The good news is that God is calling out to you. Isaiah 55:6-7 reads: "Seek the Lord while he may be found, call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."

Return to Your Lord! He is waiting on you.

Prayer: "Lord, thank you for your mercy and forgiveness. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

The Lord Sustains The Humble

"Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground." (Psalm 147:5-6)

What a great, powerful and all-knowing God we serve! May we "humble ourselves. . . under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." (I Peter 5:6)

Prayer: "Thank you Lord, for giving me strength for today! In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Keep Trusting The Lord

There is peace and security for those who trust in the Lord. Psalm 112:7-8 states - concerning the righteous man. "He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear. . . "

Christian, keep trusting your Lord no matter what you hear today. The key to peace is resting in and trusting your Lord!

Prayer: "Lord, I resolve to trust in you today in all situations. Fill me with your security and peace. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Job Satisfaction!

Has the ordinary, everyday routine of your job or life gotten you down? Job satisfaction does not originate with your work or place of employment. Satisfaction and the enjoyment of life flows out of a relationship with God!

The Bible states: "A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness."
(Ecclesiastes 2:24-26)

May your satisfaction and enjoyment of life flow from God today!

Prayer: "Lord, help me remember that true contentment and enjoyment of life comes from my relationship with you! In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Called "Christians"

"The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." (Acts 11:26)

Are you a Christian? Are you trusting in Jesus alone for your salvation?

C.H. Spurgeon wrote, "If you are Christ's, let me advise you to do four things...(1)Obey Him (2)Love Him (3)Trust Him (4)Be Decided for Him."

Christian, let everyone know that you belong to Jesus! Amen!

Holiness

"Try to live in peace with everyone and seek to live a clean and holy life for those who are not holy will not see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14, NLT)

A clean and holy life is radically different from this world. It becomes a witness for faith in Jesus Christ. Are you clean and holy? Is your lifestyle different from the world's? Be holy as your Father in heaven is holy!

Pray More!

"You do not have because you do not ask."
(James 4:2)

Charles Stanley wrote, "These words contain the secret of the poverty and powerlessness of the average Christian, of the average minister and of the average church. . . Many wonder why do I have so little victory over sin? Why do I win so few souls to Christ? Why do I grow so slowly into the likeness of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? And God answers . . . Neglect of prayer. You have not because you ask not. Lift the level of your praying and you will see the evidence of His hand over your life."

Prayer: "Lord, help me learn better how to pray. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Obedient Servants Of Christ Are Blessed

"I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him, Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them." (John 13:16-17)

Robert Coleman wrote, "Just as Jesus found blessedness in doing the Father's will, even so his followers would find theirs. This is the sole duty of a servant. It was true of Christ, and nothing less can ever be accepted as worthy of his disciple."

We must fully surrender to the will of our Lord! Once again Coleman explains, "unless there is this dedication to all we know he wants us to do now, however, immature our understanding may be, it is doubtful if we will ever progress further in his life and mission."

Wow! What sobering words! May we fully surrender to the person and work of our Lord!

Prayer: "Lord Jesus, I surrender all to you! Help me obey all I know of your will. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

White As Snow!

"Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow . . ." (Isaiah 1:18)

"White as Snow!" A powerful picture of the forgiveness of sin. Nothing seems to appear brighter, cleaner, more beautiful than a new snow! That is the condition of a life forgiven and cleansed by God. David prayed, "wash me and I will be whiter than snow." (Psalm 51:7)

Have you asked God to forgive you? Why not right now?

Blessings!
