Live Confidently
Discouraged? Look to the Lord! He is the source of courage.
The Psalmist wrote, "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27:13-14)
Prayer: "Lord, You know my struggles and discouragement. Give me faith to trust in You today for help. Replace my discouragement with courage. Thank you for the promise of Your word. In Jesus' Name, Amen!"
Blessings!

Be Content With What You Have
Hebrews 13:5 reads, "Keep your lives from the love of money and be content with what you have, because has said, "never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
William Barclay writes, "the Christian must be free from the love of money. He must be content with what he has, and why he should not be, for he possesses the continual presence of God?" The writer to the Hebrews quotes two great O.T. passages - - Joshua 1:5 and Psalm 118:6 to show that the man of God needs nothing more because he has with him always the presence and the help of God. Nothing that man can give him, no gift that earthly ambition can wring from life, can improve on that."
The words of the well known chorus are surely biblically correct, "Christ is all I need!"
Blessings!

An Intimate Relationship With God!
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God and he shall be my son." (Revelation 21:7)
Who are the overcomers? Those that have trusted in Christ - all believers (see I John 5:4-5). We then as believers are promised an intimate, personal relationship with God Himself! This will last forever.
Prayer: "Lord, thank you for making a relationship with you possible. Thank you for Your promises that will last forever. In Jesus' Name. Amen!"
Blessings!

A Sacrifice Of Praise
Have you been reminded of a prayer request that God has answered? Sometimes we forget to tell God "thank you". Thank you Jesus for making prayers to God possible for believers.
"Through Jesus, therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess His name." (Hebrews 13:15)
"Thank You, Lord For Answered Prayers!"
Prayer: "Lord, thank you for making prayer possible. Thank you for reminding me that you answered my prayer. I praise Your name! Amen!"
Blessings!

God Blesses Sacrificial Giving
"But the King (David) replied to Araunah, No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen . . . David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered prayer in behalf of the land and the plague on Israel stopped." (II Samuel 24:24-25)
God led (see vs 18)
David obeyed (see vs 19-24)
God blessed (see vs 25, the threshing floor later became the temple building site!)
Prayer: "Lord, may You direct me to Your will. May I obey You always. Thank you for the blessings that will follow. In Jesus' Name, Amen!"
Blessings!

Rest
David wrote in Psalms 3:5; "I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me".
David penned those words during a time of extreme heartache and danger (his son, Absalom, sought to kill him). The troubles of our lives can remove peaceful rest. We must do as David did - call upon our Lord! Our Lord Gives Peaceful Rest.
Prayer: "Thank you, Lord, for your protection and peace. In Jesus' Name, Amen!"

Overcoming Our Fears
Meditate on this wonderful promise from God's word.
"God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up, and the mountains crumble into the sea. . . . stand silent! Know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation in the world!" (Psalm 46:1,2,10 TLB)
Hallelujah! Amen!
Blessings!

Be Strong
"You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus"
(II Timothy 2:1).
Do you need strength today? Paul reminded Timothy in this verse to rely on God's strength given by God's grace. "Grace" here refers to the free gift of God's help to those in need. God is more than willing to help you. Hebrews 4:16 reads; "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Believer, do you need strength? Ask God to help us today!
Prayer: "Lord, I need you to strengthen me this moment. Thank you for promising that you will help me. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
Blessings!

Serving God With A Joyful Spirit
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs." (Psalm 100:1-2)
"For the joy of the Lord is your strength." (Nehemiah 8:10)
Believer, you should be serving God with a joyful spirit. Billy Graham wrote; "Faithfulness without joy becomes drudgery." Good News! Joy is a gift of God! Joy is the result of the Spirit-controlled life.
Prayer: "Lord, fill me with Your Spirit today. May I then serve You faithfully with an attitude of joy! In Jesus' Name. Amen!"
